Octavia & Damien
The Eighth Spring Wedding, Byron Bay

Octavia and Damien's love story started somewhere unassuming - behind the bar at her family's restaurant, where Damien became a regular, and Octavia became the reason he kept coming back. It's the kind of beginning that makes everything after feel destined, and nowhere is that more true than at The Eighth Spring, the Corndale property Octavia and Damien built together from the ground up, finished just in time to host their own wedding.

Their engagement ties the two together perfectly. The weekend they finally settled on the farm they'd long dreamed of owning, Damien led Octavia down to the creek under the guise of checking whether the water was flowing - then dropped to one knee. She was too stunned to speak, until finally a yes tumbled out. The next day, family and close friends Damien had quietly arranged were already there to celebrate. Years later, that same land - now transformed into The Eighth Spring - became the backdrop for the wedding itself.

Octavia got ready at Raes before the day moved into a ceremony surrounded by the rolling hills of the property, followed by cocktail hour and a sprawling sperry tent strung with fairy lights for the reception. As night fell, guests were treated to a surprise fireworks display, one Octavia herself hadn't been told about, lighting up the sky above the venue she and Damien had built. Later, the barn doors opened to reveal a full dance floor, and the celebration carried on well into the night with a DJ and sax keeping the energy high.

What stayed with us most, working alongside Octavia and Damien, was how genuinely happy they were - they couldn't stop smiling all day, still completely smitten with each other. We loved every bit of the cowboy hats and country charm woven through the celebration too, right down to Damien trading his tux jacket for a Stetson for a few photos across the property.

Octavia and Damien's wedding day was a true reflection of who they are - warm, thoughtful, kind, considerate and utterly devoted to each other, right down to the very last dance.
